FAQ's About Small Business Marketing
1
We are a small business and in a semi-rural area; just how much marketing would you recommend we do?
Actually, it depends on your type of business and how much competition you havecertainly if your local competitors are marketing and advertising, you should, too, and you should be doing it better!
Precision Intermedia doesn't use hard sale tactics and we won't try to sell you more marketing than you need. We meet with you (in person or on the phone) to get to know your needs, we do the research, and then come back with a sound and balanced marketing plan that is custom tailored for you.
2
Can you build us a marketing plan that starts out at low cost and then grows as our business grows?
Absolutely. We will develop an effective small business marketing plan that stays within your guidelines, but keep in mind that the bolder your business growth goals, the bolder your marketing goals should be as well. A good measure to keep in mind is that most successful small businesses set aside a set percent of their annual net profit for marketing every year; therefore, your marketing budget grows at a rate your business can easily absorb as your small business grows.
3
We already do newspaper ads and radio spots do you think we need a web site, too?
This is the age of communication and the internet is a big part of how we do it. Recent studies indicate consumers think a company is more viable if they have a web site. A web presence can be a simple single page with contact information, or a complicated database driven site with catalogs and shopping. We will help you assess your internet presence needs and if a web site is neededif so, we work with you to define the size, function, and purpose.
4
Does Precision Intermedia provide printing services?
We do not have a print plant on the premises, but we have extensive print knowledge and experience. We know where to get your printing done and printers that deliver the highest quality, cost-effective printed materials for your money.
5
I guess I don't need your analysis of my small business marketing plan if we don't even have one; we just do a few local ads here and there.
Not having a small business marketing plan IS a marketing plan in itselfit's just usually not a good one. Your few local ads are sending a marketing message and focusing potential clients on specific things. Is your marketing message the right one for your business, location and the times? Our consultations are free...so, unless you are a marketing expert, why not take advantage of our insights and experience?
6
I live almost 2000 miles from where you are located, can you build me a thirty second television ad from that far away?
Yes we can and we've done it for other clients, too. In the digital age, geography is rarely a marketing barrier. Also, if deemed necessary, we are willing to travel to get the job done.
7
How much input will I have into building my logo?
We encourage collaboration! When you sign a service agreement with Precision Intermedia, we become a member of your business team. You need our experience in the marketing and design business and we need your input on what feels right for your business.
8
Does a small business need to worry about brandingisn't that more of a Fortune 500 concern?
Branding is not tied to the size or scope of a business. Branding is becoming known for your product or service because customers recognize your name, trademark, logo, and tagline. The formula works the same for large publicly traded businesses or a local ice cream shop.
9
Can you help me if I just want one product marketed rather than a whole business?
Yes we can. Remember our tagline: "Imagine no limits!" However, we should probably also review your total marketing plan to make sure we are focusing on the product the best way it "fits in" as a building block in your plan.
10
We are a non-profit organization and don't have much money. Can you help us?
Precision Intermedia believes in giving back to the community and we understand how non-profit organizations provide that avenueand we know budgets are tight. We want to work with both profit and non profit organizations to develop a solid marketing plan that guides growth and goals (to help you grow from a small community based group to national or international organization if that's in your dream). Precision Intermedia is here to help.
